Who we are

We're the Quirynen family. A Belgian family of four on a gap year - Marijke (mum), Thomas (dad), Nia (8 year old), and Tobin (5 years old)! 

Our first stop is New Zealand where we are travelling around in our small campervan. When it gets too cold here we're likely to go to South East Asia. 

Before starting this trip, we lived in Uganda. Marijke worked in the humanitarian refugee response and Thomas set up companies in the bamboo value chain. Tobin and Nia went to Ambrosoli International School.

FAQ: 

• Yes, we are homeschooling the kids this year, we try to school one hour every morning on weekdays. 
• No, we have no idea what we will be doing after this year, we'll cross that bridge when we get there ;-)
